Our HCSD scholars represented well at the Hinds County Spelling Bee hosted by Clinton Public Schools on Thursday, January 23. The students competed with students from Clinton Public Schools and Jackson Public Schools. The participants were Madison Amos from Gary Road Elementary, Cameron Fields from Gary Road Intermediate, J’La Crawford from Utica Elementary/ Middle School , Leo Norman from Bolton-Edwards Elementary/ Middle School, A’myra Campbell from Byram Middle School and Zayden Strickland from Raymond Elementary/Carver Middle School.
Zayden Strickland and A’myra Campbell finished in the Top 3 with Zayden in 2nd place and A’myra in 3rd place.
