Vision

The Facilities Maintenance Department will provide a clean, orderly, safe cost-effective, and instructionally supportive school environment that contributes to the school district's mission of educating our children to meet the intellectual, physical and emotional demands of the 21st century.  We encourage staff training and development, open and honest communications and teamwork for mutual success.

  • Define and reinforce values that promote teamwork, learning, and high performance.  Facilities Maintenance is committed to provide quality customer service in building maintenance and reimbursable services for a safe and quality educational environment for our campus community. Building Maintenance is responsible for maintaining fifteen schools and administrative buildings.  The building trades are dedicated to maintain the school district at its highest standard. Building Trades include:

    • Carpenter

    • Plumbers

    • Electricians

    • Painters

    • Facilities Maintenance Workers

In addition to the daily work order requests for routine, non-routine and emergency maintenance services, building maintenance utilizes a
computer based preventive maintenance program (PM). Preventative Maintenance is proactive maintenance, facilities preservation, and
renovation of facilities. Facilities Services encourages the school district to use our automated work request web site for submitting work requests. 

Work Orders

In order to enter a technology/maintenance repair request you will need to type in a username and password. If you do not have a username and password please email Dr. Cynthia Wallace at cwallace@hinds.k12.ms.us.

Please note that schools are authorized to contact certain service providers directly without submitting a work order in the following areas: site care, copiers, intercom, and security/alarm systems.
