My name is Bethany Stubblefield and this is my 23rd year in education! I spent the first 12 years in the classroom teaching English/Language Arts, Math, and Science/Social Studies. Most recently, I have served as the librarian for GRI.
I graduated from Mississippi State University with my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I received my National Board Certification in 2007 and completed my Master’s Degree at Mississippi College in 2011. I began my career at Raymond Elementary School in 2002 and loved my six years there. After three years in another district, I returned to Hinds County School District where I taught 5th grade science and language arts at GRI. I was named Gary Road Intermediate School Teacher of the Year and then Hinds County School District Teacher of the Year for 2014. For two years, I served as an academic interventionist. I have been in the library 8 years now.
I look forward to the opportunity to share my love of story telling & reading with our students.
